About Isabel II :

Queen Isabella II of Spain.
Eldest daughter of Fernando VII and
Maria Christina.
Born 10-10-1830 in Madrid ( Spain ).
Died 04-10-1904.
Queen regent of Spain from 08-13-1836.
Reigned from 1843 - 1868.
When Fernando died  on September 29,
1833 Maria Christina became Regent
for their daughter Isabella.
At age sixteen on 10-10-1846 she married
her cousin, Francisco de Asís de Borbón
( 1822 -1902 ).
On the same day her sister married the
duke of montpensier.
There has been considerable speculation
that some or all of Isabella's children were
not fathered by Francis, along with
rumours that he was homosexual or had
physical impedimenta.
The heir to the throne, who would eventually become Alfonso XII, for
instance, was widely believed to be Isabella's child by a captain of the
guard, Enrique Puig y Moltó.

Isabell had twelve children, only four reached adulthood.

Isabel (1851–1931), Princess of Asturias,
who married Prince Gaetano of the Two Sicilies.
Alfonso XII.
María de la Paz (1862–1946),
married her cousin Ludwig Ferdinand Prinz von Bayern.
Eulalia de Asis de la Piedad (1864–1958),
married her cousin Antonio de Orléans y de Borbón,
Infante of Spain and Duke of Galliera.
